Yes the cards can at times work conspire against you. But given how short a game is, I don't mind. Recommended.. I've never had such an existential crisis about selling a sword for 5 gold before... maybe... yes.. no... maybe.... Overall it's a very nice little card game for its price, but it could have been better if it had more playmodes or minigames.Graphics and music are easy and stylish.Gameplay is fun but pretty grindy and repetitive. You'd rather enjoy this game if you play short sessions of few minutes per day.No bugs encountered so far. When you just start playing for the first time you need to win 20 battles to be able to open other game menu options. Before I finished those 20 battles I thought that this game has few other (currently locked) playmodes which allow playing cards in a different way.No. This game has ONLY ONE PLAY MODE, but you can unlock more spell cards and choose the deck later in the game.. This is such a nice and cozy solitaire game that has beatiful art and simple card game mechanics. I enjoy how stressfree it is. Except for, of course, late game, when you start running out of luck and all the cards are enemies and JUST ONE MORE GAME, COME ON LET'S GO, I WILL END YOU. Defintely recommend for when you wanna play something chill that is also well made.. Awesome single player card game, if you like card games you surely won't regret your 3€ spent.. Card Crawl is an ingenious take on solitaire. You play with a set of playing cards and 5 ability cards. Each turn, you are dealt up to four cards, which can be treasure, monsters, weapons, potions, shields or ability cards. Your hero has a set amount of hit points, and the object is to have all the cards dealt out of the deck, and still be alive. There are 35 ability cards, and you start with a handful at the beginning of the game. The rest are unlocked as you win the game and use in game currency to unlock them. The better the card, the more expensive it is.As you progress, you also unlock additional features to the game, as in choosing your ability cards beforehand (normally they are taken from your collection randomly); unlocking additional hero cards; and creating and playing other players' decks. I've played a handful of them. They're all over the place, from challenging to WTF were you thinking?!It's well worth the cost, either on sale or no. For a relaxing, casual card game, it's aces in my book.. 92 % positive rating seems way too high and i am here to balance that. Vast majority of positve reviewers played less then 4 hours. They are still free to express themselves much the same as me. The game is not bad, and probably a 6 or 7 out of 10. If you intend to play for a few hours and never play again. If you are going for progression and completion, then Card Crawl is more like a 3 out of 10. Read Dare Evans review on this forum. I completely agree with EVERYTHING he posted and will not be redundant here. It is all true, and not in an opinionated way, but in the literal sense. Essensially you play perfect/count the cards and expert the math out. Yet Card crawl simply boils down to Luck at the higher levels. Also, just to earn the right to play the "endless delve mode', you must replay the sdame stock deck DOZENS upon dozens of times, till you grind enough to make your own deck. Than grind through a couple hundred more rounds with your deck ( you only pick 5 cards out of 54 mind you) just to earn the right to play the delve mode. Once there you will hit a wall fast at around level 7 or so. I made it to 13, but once there lost my way back to level 6 and am now back to 12. This took 5 hours of win a couple games, lose a couple games. rinse and repeat. You will NEVER win the 4-5 games in a row required to beat level 13/14/15. Just to beat levels 8-12 you must play perfect, and usually barely win on last draw even IF you recieved highly favorable random cards.Let me pick my cards please, and create a ratio that will NOT allow for such high concentrations of enemies so early in the 58 card draw. Do not even get me started on the collect 250$$$ gold achievement. I have mathed out scenarios to obtain 250 gold. Even taking all pure gold multiplying drop cards. It still requires The PERFECT drop order, and you still have to survive( and none of the best gold gaining cards will help you survive. The math required to win this scenario is lightning in a bottle. 5 chosen special cards required to drop give or take in exact sequence, placement of where your cards drop in the 4 card order and you still have to survive. And with no mistakes and no special card support, i suspect your odds of winning is around 1 in 3 . Odds of winning this with perfect strategy and perfect play and perfect math and counting, is likely in the 2000-1 range. Have fun with that. I saw Wanderbots playing this on his Youtube channel and thought "Well, it would be OK if it was a £2 or £3 game," then I came here to the store page and bought it for just over £1! Result! There is a fair amount of grind at the start of the game to unlock game features and complete quests, but it remains a good time filler when you don't have any other pressing matters.. The first time I saw this game, I knew I would get addicted to it. The interactions and user interface absorbs the player, and all the ability cards commensurate with eachother. Scrutinizing through the ability cards and constructing a deck of 5 is the most enjoyable part. This game is definitely worth your time.. Card Crawl is an ingenious take on solitaire.
